This innovative news magazine is designed to help viewers keep up with advances in science and technology. Hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, the program draws on a range of stories from repairing the Hubble telescope, to the mystery of the Northern Lights to a profile of famed glaciologist Lonnie Thompson.

Secrets of the Dead

Part detective story, part true-life drama, SECRETS OF THE DEAD unearths evidence from around the world, challenging prevailing ideas and throwing fresh light on unexplained events. Using the most up-to-date science in the laboratory and in the field, scientists and researchers examine the missing pieces of each puzzle, completing the picture of what had been merely an assemblage of suppositions.

Wild Chronicles

A weekly magazine show produced by National Geographic and hosted by Boyd Matson. The stories, which focus on the work of researchers and explorers in the field, cover natural history, science, conservation and environmental issues, adventure and culture. Each episode features the Crittercam, a research tool attached to animals that records video, audio and environmental data, providing an up-close look at animals' worlds from their perspective.

Health Dialogues

Health Dialogues, a special series from KQED Public Radio's The California Report, engages listeners in an ongoing discussion of California health care issues that are important to the underserved: children, low-income residents, minorities, people with disabilities, immigrants, and rural and migrant worker communities in particular. The series seeks to generate and facilitate dialogue between communities, health care providers and policy-makers.

Living on Earth

Living on Earth with Steve Curwood is the weekly environmental news and information program distributed by National Public Radio. This year marks Living on Earth's Twelfth anniversary. Every week over 302 National Public Radio stations broadcast Living on Earth's news, features, interviews and commentary on a broad range of ecological issues. The show airs in 9 of the 10 top radio markets and reaches 80% of the US.
